Fun times in animal science today!
REPRODUCTION DISSECTIONS!!! FUN!!!!
Too bad thawed dead animals smell bad.... ewww.
Anways! The first dissection: a cow udder!!!
We played with it and squished it and squeezed it! There was still milk in it, amazing huh?
That udder was 50 lbs!!!
It's incredible how a cow can make gallons and gallons of milk a day and store it in its udder.
Then we dissected a chicken's reproductive system. We had a hen, and we even had an egg in the tract. We also cut open a rooster.
Did you know rooster testes are larger than their brains?
Yeah I thought that was funny too.
Then we played with an ultrasound machine. We saw my professor's heart and we saw our pulses too.
Then we inseminated a cow's uterus. Very cool too.
This was a nice intro to my class next semester, Animal Reproduction!
Yay.
